India is the fastest growing large economy in the world. India is expected to sustain high growth over many years to come and by 2030 it should be world’s third largest economy in dollar terms. Both for global economic growth and for innovation in the critical and emerging technology, India’s contribution will be essential.
In his book “INDIA@100 – Envisioning Tomorrow’s Economic Powerhouse” Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian outlined a bold vision for India in 2047 – the golden jubilee of independence, when, he argues, India will be a US$ 55 trillion economy.
Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian has done his B. Tech from IIT Kanpur, followed by MBA from IIM Calcutta. He is a Doctorate from the University of Chicago. From 2018-21 he was the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India. Presently, he is India’s Executive Director at the IMF in Washington DC.
The Consulate is happy to organize a book release and discussion by Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian at 1700 hrs (5:00PM) on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Consulate at 455 N Cityfront Plaza Dr, Suite 850, Chicago 60611. The Consulate will jointly host the event with the Global Indian Diaspora Foundation based in Chicago.
Book release, remarks from the author and Q&A session will be followed by an Indian buffet.
